Zero-touch provisioning with no engineer on site

Ship a Hermes device, plug it in, and it configures itself from the Orchestrator with the right policy for that site

Zero-touch provisioning: ship, plug in, device pulls its config
Why it matters

Rollouts without truck rolls

Every site visit by a network engineer costs time and money, and slows down openings. Zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) removes that step. The device is assigned to a site in the Orchestrator before it ships, and it finds its configuration on its own the first time it connects.

Because every device builds itself from the same template, sites come online consistent from day one. There are no hand-typed configurations to drift apart, and changes are made once in the Orchestrator rather than device by device.

At a glance
No engineer needed on site
Same template, every location
Configuration pulled securely from the cloud
Works for edges, switches and access points
What you get

From box to production, untouched

Provisioning is built into every Hermes device and managed in one place

Pre-assigned devices

Assign a device to a site before it ships, so it arrives ready to go.

Templates

Build a site template once and reuse it for every new location.

Digital Twin first

Model a site and its policy in the Digital Twin before the hardware arrives.

Central updates

Push configuration and firmware changes to every site from the Orchestrator.

Security from boot

Firewall and inspection policy is applied as soon as the device comes online.

Built for partners

MSPs can stage and roll out sites for many customers from one console.

How it works

How zero-touch provisioning works

1

Assign

Add the device to a site in the Orchestrator and pick its template.

2

Ship

Send the device straight to the location. No pre-staging needed.

3

Plug in

Someone on site connects power and the internet line.

4

Online

The device pulls its configuration and the site appears in the Orchestrator.

Hardware

Runs on Hermes hardware

Every Hermes device is provisioned zero-touch and managed from the same Orchestrator

SD-WAN AI Edge Desktop

Branch SD-WAN, Layer 3 switching and edge AI in a compact desktop appliance.

SD-WAN AI Edge 24P PoE

A Layer 3 PoE+ switch and an SD-WAN edge in one unit for larger sites.

Wi-Fi 7 Access Points

Wall, desktop and ceiling access points, managed from the same Orchestrator.

Can’t find your answer? Our solutions architects are happy to help

Zero-touch provisioning lets a network device configure itself automatically the first time it connects to the internet, using settings defined centrally. Nobody has to configure it by hand on site.

Anyone who can plug in a power cable and an internet line. No network engineer is needed.

Hermes SD-WAN edges, PoE switches and Wi-Fi access points are all provisioned and managed from the Orchestrator.

Yes. Sites are built from shared templates, so a new location gets the same policy as the rest of your network, with site-specific details filled in automatically.

Yes. Model the site in the Hermes Digital Twin first, then ship the device. It comes online with the configuration you already tested.
